EVA Optic specialises in the development and production of technical experience products for pools. Our team of specialists brings mechanics, lighting technology and materials knowledge together under one roof, with more than fifteen years of experience in pools and comparably demanding environments. That knowledge is in every product we make.
WHAT WE BELIEVE
What we learn from EVA projects in the most varied water environments, we use in developing and refining our products. That kind of experience and expertise only comes from years of focus on the same environment.
In pool environments, heat, humidity and chlorine vapour place heavy demands on every product. Those environments challenge us to push the limits of what is possible, with products that go further than the standard requires, in quality and in service life.
What the market asks for, we translate into new solutions with technical creativity and craftsmanship. We design, refine and keep developing until we reach a product’s full potential. Design and performance that reinforce each other. That is what EVA stands for.
MADE IN HOLLAND
In our production facilities in Zwartsluis (NL) we develop and produce everything ourselves, from the first design to the finished product that leaves the building.
Our own engineering department keeps developing. The narrowed outflow of the EVAstream turbine, internationally patented, is a direct result of that.
With laser cutters and 3D printing in house we move quickly from design to working model, and refine that model until it meets our requirements.
All our products are produced in house. We make circuit boards on our own SMT pick-and-place line, and for the electric motors we use professional balancing machines.
Our circuit boards are inspected with X-ray equipment, down to the solder joints beneath the components. Every product is thoroughly tested before it goes to the customer.
OUR OWN DEVELOPMENT
The narrowed outflow of the turbine is internationally patented and gives more than 50% higher current speed at equal water displacement. That produces a wide, even current that reaches far into the pool.
EVAline is the only pool lighting system with asymmetric light distribution. The light is aimed diagonally into the pool, with the luminaires mounted above the walkways. Fewer luminaires for the same light level, with mounting and maintenance from the side.
The EVAstream Move, the only genuinely powerful battery-powered swimming machine, received the Red Dot Design Award in 2025. It makes endless swimming possible in an existing pool too.
SUSTAINABILITY
Pools and sports facilities use a lot of electricity, and lighting accounts for a large part of it. EVA led linear lighting brings that consumption down. Techniques that extend the service life of the leds, such as ATS, also keep maintenance limited for years.
We build our products with durable components and recyclable materials wherever possible. That keeps waste at the end of service life to a minimum.
Our luminaires are made of aluminium. Recycling costs 5% of the energy that producing new aluminium requires, and 98% of all aluminium ever produced is still in use.
With a refurbishment kit an EVAline lighting system gets a second life. New leds, a new driver or a new cover, instead of replacing the whole luminaire.
SAFETY AND STANDARDS
Heat, humidity and chlorine vapour place heavy demands on a lighting system. Ordinary luminaires do not withstand them in the long term, and the national and international standards for electrical safety and material use in pools are strict.
Our underwater lighting demonstrably meets the international standard IEC-EN 60598-2-18 for electrical safety and watertightness of underwater luminaires.
Metal suspension structures and fixing materials in pools fall under this guideline. Our above-water lighting is designed to it.
Electrical safety, watertightness, impact resistance and mechanical strength. Strict quality control is a standard part of our production process.
Zwartsluis
In spring 2027 we open the EVA Experience Center. A water villa near our production facilities in Zwartsluis, at the edge of the Weerribben-Wieden National Park. All EVA products and accessories are present here. The indoor pool has the complete EVA System for private pools installed. We would be glad to welcome you for a consultation or a test swim.

PARTNERSHIPS
EVA Optic is an official partner of the Royal Dutch Swimming Federation and has been a member of the KNZB Pool of Support since 2019, the group of companies from the pool industry that supports the federation’s elite sport programmes. Together with the KNZB we support both elite and grassroots sport.
Since 2011 we have been the exclusive lighting supplier of the Aqua Mundo water parks of Center Parcs, part of Groupe Pierre & Vacances. We developed bespoke luminaires for the pool halls and supply all underwater lighting in the pools and water attractions.
