National Swimming Centre De Tongelreep in Eindhoven is a versatile swimming facility where elite sports, training, recreation and various water activities come together. The different pools and areas each have their own specific lighting requirements.
EVA Optic therefore supplied a comprehensive range of lighting solutions for both above and below the water. From powerful lighting in the 50-metre pool to atmospheric lighting in the recreational pool and functional lighting in the shower areas.

In the 50-metre pool, EVAsubaqua A50 50 W lights provide powerful and uniform underwater illumination. Above the pool, EVAline linear lighting ensures even illumination of both the pool and the swimming hall.
EVAline has been specifically developed for environments with heat, humidity and chlorine vapours. The linear lights are completely flicker-free and feature a microprismatic cover with UGR <19, reducing glare.
The integrated Auto Temperature System (ATS) also monitors the temperature and protects the LEDs if temperatures become too high.
The activity pool is also equipped with EVAsubaqua A50. Above the pool, EVAline with asymmetric optics is used. This directs the light from the side into the water.
As a result, the lights can be installed above the pool surround, keeping them easily accessible for maintenance.
EVA lighting is also used in the shower areas. EVA Downlights provide functional lighting and extend the lighting concept into the adjacent wet areas.
In the recreational pool, EVAsubaqua A50 is combined with EVA Hydra. The underwater lighting provides good visibility, while the Hydra lights add atmosphere and highlight specific areas of the pool environment.
At De Tongelreep, various EVA products come together: EVAsubaqua below the water, EVAline above the pools, EVA Hydra for atmospheric lighting and EVA Downlights in the wet areas.
Together, they create a complete lighting concept for competitive swimming, activities, recreation and the surrounding areas.
